Fermixtape Over Whole Rest #3

Theme: Songs for Bad Decisions

KEY: J = John, M = Matt,  A = Andrew

#1 “Beat on the Brat” by The Ramones-J: It’s the fucking Ramones, the harbingers of good times through rock and roll.
#2 “Pursuit of Happiness by Kid Cudi-M: A song about throwing all your problems away and not giving a shit.
#3 “Watch the Tapes” by LCD Soundsystem-A: There is already call-and-answering in this song, and there are woo-hoo’s, ha-ha-ha’s and whatever is necessary for a song of the drunken caliber.
#4 ”Combination Pizza Hut & Taco Bell” by Das Racist-J: Hypnotic, hilarious, and fucking catchy.
#5 “Drumroll (We’re all thirsty)” by P.O.S-M: The chorus alone will have you screaming at chanting in a stupor “WE’RE ALL THIRSTY!”
#6 “Let’s Dance” by David Bowie-A: Bowie in the early eighties was probably his biggest time for songs to sing to for any occasion. I honestly see myself just yelling this song out.
#7 ”One (Blake’s Got A New Face) by Vampire Weekend-J: Raise your hands, yell the chorus.
#8 “The Distance” by Cake-M: One of the common elements in the songs I choose for this mixtape have a bunch of people screaming of the chorus. Yeah this song has that too, and stuff.
#9 “Crazy” by Gnarls Barkley-A The chorus is the sole reason this song is on here. The drunk-ass individual will attempt to hit those notes that Cee-Lo can actually hit, and it’s going to be hilaaaaarious.
#10 ”Start Wearing Purple” by Gogol Bordello-J: Bouncy nonsense with a singalong chorus by the modern ultimate live band.
#11 “Don’t Stop Believin'” by Journey-M: This is one of those tracks that everyone knows and can apply to any situation that demands the most energy and joy out of you, so naturally it belongs here too.
#12 “Good Life” by Kanye West-A: This song is my token drunken karaoke song (if I ever had a drunken karaoke party). The T-Pain sung chorus has enough catchiness and memorability to enable a performance that people will be talking about for days.
#13 “Van Helsing Boombox” by Man Man-J: See Podcast? #7.
#14 “Say It Ain’t So” by Weezer-M: One of Weezer’s most well known songs and one that everyone loves to sing along to sober, more so when drunk.
#15 “Psycho Killer” by Talking Heads-A: This would be that song when you’re completely wasted and can barely sing anything anymore.
#16 “Working Full-Time” by the Constantines-J: Speaking of rock and roll, the Constantines. Impassioned heroics over modern existence.
#17 “Paradise by the Dashboard Lights” by Meat Loaf-M: Yo, it’s fuckin’ Meat Loaf. That shit be epic, holmes.
#18 “Wake Up” by Arcade Fire-A: The chorus filled solely with “oh’s” and the easily sung lyrics make this a perfect song to sing along with bros.
#19 “Katamari On The Rock” from the Katamari Damacy soundtrack: The average 20-30 year old will be forced to hum along like Pavlov’s dog at dinnertime.
